From the press-release: “A new performance of the ZERO Dance Gallery /dance project ZERO Theatre  is another try to comprehense what is incomprehensible and to catch what is hardly to be caught. This time with the help of The Cage for Air. There are three dancers, a pianist and a singer on the stage, playing a choreographic drama for piano solo and voice.

The stage space is set up as an artifact - unreal, but at the same time visible and tangible. Human body is represented in the performance as a symbol of the world and it's cognition - as a search for meaning and harmony in this world.

 

Choreographic material - completely built on contemporary technique - creates a unique abstract symbolic. The dance keeps the continual connection with the dynamics of the piano playing, and the singer's voice erases the boards between the reality and imagination, between past, future and present.

The musical structure of the piece is based on the sounds that entirely correspond to the composer's name John Cage =C, A, G, E. These letters also make the word "cage". All this gave an idea to the theme and the title of the performance, in which a net made out of sounds catches the energy of dancers' movement. The keynotes of the music are meditative, quiet repeatability, dynamic sounding of powerful, strong chordal combinations, bright and aggressive movement. Short and long pauses make an effect as if they "freeze" the action and provide the audience with a mirror, in which they can see their own reactions and thoughts. In this performance you can see sounds and hear movements; all that is invisible gets form and any form disappears, leaving only memories and invisible trace.

Projects of ZERO Dance Gallery - it is always a meeting of talented people, artists, willing to experiment. In the performance The Cage for Air an artist Theodor Tezhik creates a visible symbolic space of the stage, a stylist Elena Basova makes costumes, Patrick K.-H. transfers the dance partially in the plane of video-art.

A pianist - Andrei Doynikov, soprano- a singer Tina Georgievskaya and dancers - Konstantin Grouss, Tatiana Fateeva and Tatiana Bayan embody the idea of the performance on stage.

Хореографическая драма для фортепиано соло и голоса.

Спектакль был показан дважды в мае 2008 года, на фестивале Таймырский кактус в г. Норильске и г.Красноярске.

Спектакль создан при финансовой поддержке фонда Михаила Прохорова.

Эта работа может быть продолжена.

 

Этот спектакль еще одна попытка объять необъятное и поймать неуловимое. На этот раз с помощью «Клетки для Воздуха». На сцене три танцовщика, пианист и певица разыгрывают хореографическую драму для фортепиано соло и голоса.

Пространство сцены выстроено, как артефакт – нереальный, но вместе с тем зримый и осязаемый. Тело человека представлено в спектакле как символ мира и его познание - как поиск смысла и гармонии в этом мире. Полностью выстроенная на современной технике хореография, создает оригинальную абстрактную символику. Танец находится в непрерывной связи с динамикой фортепиано, а голос певицы стирает грань между реальностью и воображением, между прошлым, будущим и настоящим.

Музыкальная ткань произведения основана целиком на звуках, соответствующих имени композитора john CAGE = си, до, ля, соль, ми. “Cage” переводится с английского как “клетка”. Это же дало идею к теме и названию спектакля, в котором сеть из звуков ловит энергию движения танцовщиков. Лейтмотивы музыки - медитативная, тихая повторность, динамичное звучание сильных аккордовых комплексов, яркая агрессивная моторика. Малые и большие паузы  словно замораживают действие и предоставляют зрителю как бы зеркало для его собственных реакций и раздумий. Звуки в спектакле можно видеть, а движения слышать, невидимое обретает форму, а форма растворяется, оставляя лишь воспоминания и невидимый след.

Проекты, реализуемые в рамках ZERO Dance Gallery  - это встреча талантливых людей, художников, готовых к эксперименту. В спектакле «Клетка для Воздуха» художник Теодор Тэжик создает зримое символическое пространство сцены, модельер Елена Басова – костюмы,Patrick K.-H. переносит часть танца в плоскость видеопроекций. 

Пианист Андрей Дойников, сопрано – певица Тина Георгиевская и танцовщики – Константин Гроусс, Татьяна Фатеева и Татьяна Баян воплощают идею постановки на сцене.
