This production is yet another attempt to embrace the immeasurable and capture the elusive. This time, it does so with the help of *A Cage for Air*. On stage, three dancers, a pianist and a singer perform a choreographed drama for solo piano and voice.

The stage space is constructed like an artefact – unreal, yet at the same time visible and tangible. The human body is presented in the performance as a symbol of the world, and the act of knowing it as a search for meaning and harmony in this world. The choreography, built entirely on contemporary techniques, creates an original abstract symbolism. The dance is in constant dialogue with the dynamics of the piano, whilst the singer’s voice blurs the line between reality and imagination, between the past, the future and the present.

The musical fabric of the work is based entirely on the notes corresponding to the composer’s name, John Cage: B, C, A, G, E. ‘Cage’ translates from English as ‘cage’. This, in turn, inspired the theme and title of the performance, in which a web of sounds captures the energy of the dancers’ movements. The leitmotifs of the music are meditative, quiet repetition; the dynamic sound of powerful chordal complexes; and vivid, aggressive rhythmic patterns. Short and long pauses seem to freeze the action, offering the audience a kind of mirror for their own reactions and reflections. The sounds in the performance can be seen, whilst the movements can be heard; the invisible takes shape, and form dissolves, leaving only memories and an invisible trace.

The projects carried out as part of ZERO Dance Gallery bring together talented people and artists who are keen to experiment. In the performance *A Cage for Air*, artist Teodor Tezhik creates the visual, symbolic space of the stage; costume designer Elena Basova designs the costumes; and Patrick K.-H. transfers part of the dance into the realm of video projections. 

Pianist Andrei Doinikov, soprano Tina Georgievskaya and dancers Konstantin Grouss, Tatiana Fateeva and Tatiana Bayan bring the production’s concept to life on stage.

Спектакль был показан дважды в мае 2008 года, на фестивале Таймырский кактус в г. Норильске и г.Красноярске.

Этот спектакль еще одна попытка объять необъятное и поймать неуловимое. На этот раз с помощью «Клетки для Воздуха». На сцене три танцовщика, пианист и певица разыгрывают хореографическую драму для фортепиано соло и голоса.

Пространство сцены выстроено, как артефакт – нереальный, но вместе с тем зримый и осязаемый. Тело человека представлено в спектакле как символ мира и его познание - как поиск смысла и гармонии в этом мире. Полностью выстроенная на современной технике хореография, создает оригинальную абстрактную символику. Танец находится в непрерывной связи с динамикой фортепиано, а голос певицы стирает грань между реальностью и воображением, между прошлым, будущим и настоящим.

Музыкальная ткань произведения основана целиком на звуках, соответствующих имени композитора john CAGE = си, до, ля, соль, ми. “Cage” переводится с английского как “клетка”. Это же дало идею к теме и названию спектакля, в котором сеть из звуков ловит энергию движения танцовщиков. Лейтмотивы музыки - медитативная, тихая повторность, динамичное звучание сильных аккордовых комплексов, яркая агрессивная моторика. Малые и большие паузы  словно замораживают действие и предоставляют зрителю как бы зеркало для его собственных реакций и раздумий. Звуки в спектакле можно видеть, а движения слышать, невидимое обретает форму, а форма растворяется, оставляя лишь воспоминания и невидимый след.

Проекты, реализуемые в рамках ZERO Dance Gallery  - это встреча талантливых людей, художников, готовых к эксперименту. В спектакле «Клетка для Воздуха» художник Теодор Тэжик создает зримое символическое пространство сцены, модельер Елена Басова – костюмы,Patrick K.-H. переносит часть танца в плоскость видеопроекций. 

Пианист Андрей Дойников, сопрано – певица Тина Георгиевская и танцовщики – Константин Гроусс, Татьяна Фатеева и Татьяна Баян воплощают идею постановки на сцене.
